A bloggy catch-up

I consider myself to be superstitious....wish I wasn't but, I am. So, I hesitate to say too much about how wonderful life is in our home. I am afraid to jinx it....and believe me I do not take any of it for granted. Baby girl is doing so wonderfully well! She did have a couple nights that she wanted to play rather than go to sleep but once I realized I can no longer let her sleep in the evenings, we got that all figured out. She could not be any sweeter! She is love, love, love and such an easy going baby. Doodle is loving this time of year (minus the cold weather). He is really getting into the season and having a ball each day at school. He is such a wonderful big brother and has not missed a step with the addition of sissy belle. MSW is finished with year end close and the yearly audit which makes him a very happy man. He has enough days left to take off a big chunk of time for the holidays which has us all super exctied!

So, my lack of blogging is due to the fact that I have just been soaking up this beautiful time and living in each moment. After I kiss my boys off for the day, I snuggle with my girl until mid-morning. She takes a comy nap each morning in our bed- I think she likes the warm covers! (note pics) I have been doing alot of crafting for the holidays and planning for doodle's school party. We usually run errands right before we pick up doodle from school and then spend the afternoons/evening with Christmas music and cooking. We have had the chance to visit with friends and family too! I am really looking forward to the next 3 weeks.

Baby girl all decked out....

We have had a time with our Christmas Card shoot. First time around, I was not happy with my post-baby body, then our next attempt was cancelled due to weather and so we are still trying.... In the meantime, I decided to decorate up Sissy Belle's shelf and do a little photo shoot of just her. I have always done this with doodle so it was fun to do it this time with a little more glitz (oh the joys of little girls!) She has had a terrible case of baby acne that you can see in some of pics. Thankfully, it seems to be clearing up!

The halls are decked!

Though we still add touches just about everyday, our house is feeling the season! There are also 1000's of lights adorning the outside too! Sissy belle loves to look at all the lights and doodle has helped me decorate every inch of our house. She has a pink tree in her room and doodle has a little tree in his room too. Many traditions, including "elf on the shelf" are making our season bright! Daddy is getting ready to take off and doodle will be off from school. I am so excited about all 4 of us being home for the holidays! We have many exciting projects and excursions planned. "It's the most wonderful time of the year!"

The price of having a big brother.....

I was cooking dinner, sissy belle was hanging out in her bouncy seat and doodle was at the table practicing his writing. The phone rang so I stepped into the living room for a few minutes. When I came back "brother" has labeled his sister! I love how amused she looks with him!

High Flying Doodle Bug

He has no fear! As we were walking through the mall we came upon one of those bungie bounce things. Of course, he had to do it. The quality of the pics are very poor as my camera phone could not catch the picture but you get the idea. Poor daddy (who has a fear of heights) was so nervous for doodle.
